Excited to go with my sister who lives local. I myself I'm from Merseyside. I had braised lamb wich was very nice, my sister had Chicken Supreme. We were disappointed that the chicken supreme did not come with a accompanying sauce and my sister was unable to finish the meal. Also the temperature was very low and we had to put are winter coats on during are meal. The staff were very helpful and we did notice that they tried to increase temperature but after an hour were unsuccessful.

Roast was nice but Luke warm at best, gravy was congealed by end of meal. Very busy, maybe too busy, wasn't told tables were up a long flight of stairs that I struggled with. All felt a bit rushed, the older lady that saw us in was quite rude. Customer service could do with improving. 1st time eating here so quite disappointing. Location and facilities outside look fab though.

Went for a roast today. Food was ok but cold even the plates were cold and the service was the same. We also had to keep our jackets on as our meal was booked for 12 and the heating had not been put on. I ordered crème brûlée for desert but it was just cold custard and not made with cream. We were all a little disappointed.

Booked a table on the 30th Jan for valentines on a Saturday 15th feb. And according to the website it said there is a set menu for 3 days - thursday Friday Saturday @39. 95pp
We got there, was seated next to the loud bar area. When there was ample seating. We Sat down to be hold that "valentine set menu was not available because it was busy yesterday " and that valentines was yesterday"
Came acrossed rude and unapologetic.
"Was told i should of came yesterday."
We Finished our drinks paid and left. We didnt feel. Welcome.

Went for a meal at Sir Henry Gurnett for Valentines day. The food was excellent I thoroughly enjoyed the Macaroni starter. All staff were very friendly and very helpful. Very attentive. Will recommend this restaurant will definitely return

Had a table booked on valentines night, so a very popular night for couples to be able to spend valuable time together, we were seated at our table, waited for 30 minutes for not even a drinks order to be taken or even anyone to inform us they won’t be long, which is actually appalling customer service, after this time of still waiting for a drink order to be taken let alone a food order, we decided to leave as we were thirsty and hungry, we we’re not the only couples sitting and waiting for a long time, yet a couple who came in after ourselves who clearly knew a waiter (due to their greetings of each other) was served before us. As it was valentines night it meant we were unable to find space at another restaurant, absolutely ruined our evening plans. It is such a shame as the barn conversion looked stunning.

This place looks stunning , the lady upon entry was extremely polite , however after waiting over 30mins not to even have a drink order taken or even any knowledge of service being soon or even near the right amount of staff walking around we decided to leave as we see many others seated without drinks or service, real shame as the barn looks soooooo lovely

Been here many times at weekends over the years but went for lunch last Thursday and very disappointed. Food came up on cold plates and barely warm. Worst lunch we have ever had. When we mentioned about food being only warm the Italian waiter just snorted and walked away! Very disappointed 😞

Good service and good food. Was a regular when long time ago they actually put wood on the fires to heat the place up. But now it's freezing cold. Wear your thermals.

Ist time here, came out for dinner with my lovely work family. The food was amazing, and the server we had, Mange was fantastic, couldn't do enough for us. We were a large group and had other servers, also great, but Mange looked after our table mostly. Thank you. I'll Definitely come back soon.

Great roast dinner a lot of people catering for your needs, just be careful of some of the locals that attend, manners where not on menu. 😉

We arranged to have my dad's wake at Sir Henry's after speaking with Carla to find out what they offered (we hadn't been there before). It was absolutely perfect - the food, the staff and the location were wonderful. My dad would have loved it. Everything went very smoothly and everyone commented on what a lovely venue it was. We are so grateful for Carla and the whole team for making a sad day so very special. Thank you ❤️

Chose Sir Henry's for our annual family gathering - none of us are local to it and found it via a google search for somewhere relatively convenient for all of us. It looked good on the website photos but was even better when I drove over for a look around.
On the day, the staff couldn't have been more helpful and the food was fantastic, as were the portion sizes.
Very happy and grateful to everyone who made our get together such a success and we're already planning another visit when the weather gets a bit warmer.
